Professional Development

One of the key components of a quality child care program is knowlegable, experienced and stable staffing. The ELC provides professional development and support services to child care professionals. The ELC is committed to providing professional development to support early childhood educators and caregivers. Our goal is to promote school readiness and improve learning outcomes of young children, by providing high quality professional development to improve the knowledge and skills of early childhood educators and caregivers who work in early childhood programs.

Classroom Training FAQ's

The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region offers Classroom Trainings (CT) throughout the year in Gadsden, Leon, Madison and Taylor Counties. The ELC integrates knowledge, skills and support to assist early care and education professionals in obtaining:

(1) In-Service Hours to meet licensing requirements

(2) In-Service Hours to meet accreditation requirements

(3) Trainings to assist in meeting the ELC Provider Network Agreement

(4) Trainings that offer fresh information and practical application in the classroom
